Denk House is a restaurant that builds on family tradition (est.1972), featuring the finest produce of the Styria region. This fine example of modern architecture – a simple exterior with comfortable modern interior spaces, which flow naturally into each other – is located between the picturesque wine roads of Austrian Styria and Mariborsko Pohorje. Denk’s wine list offers a fine selection of local, national and international white, red and orange wines.

Our homestead is located on Špičnik, enclaved inside an amphitheater of vineyards, just below the famous heartshaped road. This is our home, and here the fifth generation of the Gaube family is producing wine with plenty of love and persistence. We cherish the endeavours and knowledge of our ancestors, and have been building upon them for generations, in harmony with nature and with our cuisine.

The Kogl winery (est. 1542) sits on top of a subtle rise, above the village of Velika Nedelja, with a magnificent view of the surrounding landscape. The residence was built in 1820, and a resilient 200-year-old linden tree grows next to it. A sense of aesthetics and creative character permeate the estate, manifesting in various cultural and art events. Combined with characterful wines, they form a splendid whole. The Doppler House of Wine sits on the top of a hill. Even though this is where the path ends, for us, it is only the beginning. Grandfather Ivan Doppler had been the first to undertake winegrowing. Since then, the farm has been in the hands of women for two generations. The cellar was constructed in 2010 and provides you with an array of vinous and architectural delights. We would like to invite you to our hill with a panoramic view, where the wine won’t be the only thing to make you dizzy. You will grow wings and will want to fly – so let us fly together!

At the highest point in Lendavske gorice, at an elevation of 327 m, you can find the Cuk House of Wines. Here, you can enjoy a beautiful view of neighbouring countries – Croatia, Hungary and Austria. Treat yourself to our local specialties, for example cold cuts from our farm or the rustic retaš strudel based on our grandmother’s recipe, or enjoy a professional tasting of white, rosé and red wines. Oljarna Središče ob Dravi has a centuries-old tradition of processing 100% natural pumpkin seed oil. The oil’s rankings place it in the highest quality class, in addition to being included among the special Slovenian protected agricultural products and foodstuffs. Pumpkin seed oil and cucurbits can be used as seasoning for salads and various other dishes, or as ingredients in medicine and cosmetics.

Our many travelling experiences have led us to the decision to make the world come to us. In Ptuj, the oldest city in Slovenia, we have refurbished a house and filled it with various contents. We have channeled our experiences in scenography, costume design and music into the look and soul of this house from 1618. We have named it Home of CULTure – muziKafe. It has a coffee shop, we hold cultural events and lectures, and we also offer bed and breakfast. It’s a meeting place of creative people and our family nest. Pay us a visit!

The Kupljen Wine Estate in Jeruzalem – Svetinje is a family winery owned by Samo Kupljen. He continues the family tradition started by his father Jože Kupljen, the pioneer of Slovene privately owned winegrowing business. 2016 marked the 40th anniversary of the first bottled wines with the Kupljen label. The Kupljen Estate is also renowned for its authentic Kupljen Tavern, which offers local dishes, a wine bar and accommodation.

The winery with the longest tradition of wine production and trade in Slovenia has preserved the heritage of the Minorites and well-known wine merchants of the 19th and 20th centuries. In its cellars, it keeps the oldest wine called The Golden Grapevine, dating back to the year 1917. The Ormož winery, which has been run by the Puklavec family since 2009, is one of the leading domestic wine producers. This great wine cellar, built in 1967, was dug into a terrace by the Drava river and spans seven levels. Today, the cellar is where rich tradition meets innovative technology, enabling the production of fresh and fruity wines. It also boasts one of the largest archives of bottles in Slovenia, consisting of 250 thousand bottles from the finest vintages.

The Sun House is a 5-star boutique hotel where first-class service and a personalized attitude towards guests are greatly emphasized. The five spacious, tastefully decorated luxurious rooms of the newly built villa, hidden in the rural part of the Prlekija region, are able to accommodate only 13 guests at a time, providing you with the discretion and comfort that you need.

Valdhuber Wines come from Svečina, a small village on the outskirts of Slovenske gorice, near the border with Austria. There a new, architecturally sophisticated winery and the Valdhuber family’s agritourist farm are located. In 2013 they supplemented their success story about wine with a farm stay, providing accommodation and aiming to offer guests local and seasonal dishes accompanied by excellent wines. The Gjerkeš Winery, surrounded by the lush green forests of the Goričko Nature Park, is situated in the northwest corner of Slovenia’s unique Prekmurje region. Here they produce Charodonnay, Welschriesling, Rhine Riesling, Yellow Muscat and Pinot Gris. It can accommodate large and small groups for tastings, when reservations are made in advance.
